biked to the thrift store, no problem. Stopped at the bike store on the way since my mirror broke last night. Expensive to replace, but worth it, IMO. I use one that clips to the earpiece of my glasses. I like being able to see behind me.

It's Baras, not Goodwill, for the record

They had the bacon rack, just like I remembered. They also had a lot more quality SF than usual, so Darkstar's getting some new books. A couple for me, too. It's good that we do a Palm version of the library catalog -- I was able to check what we have and what format, so I wasn't buying any duplicates. I ended up with more than I could easily carry on the bike (no rack, and I wasn't carrying my big backpack), so I left a box of stuff there and headed home to get the truck. Stopped at Michael's on the way home and looked over the "learn to knit" books, but didn't see any I liked better than the online instructions I've found.

Drove back, browsed a bit more, instructed one of the store folks in the use of a Furby, bought my stuff ($17.12 for 12 books, a bacon rack and a small stuffed animal), and headed home. Now it's time for a shower.
