I suspect those most affected will have already seen announcements of caldesilk's untimely demise, here, here, or on one or more of the mailing lists it has been posted to.

Michael was a good friend, and I will miss him greatly...but I suspect this isn't going to really hit me until Gallifrey, which is when I would have next seen him.

I had heard of Kelly Freas through lj so but didn't figure I would hear about Michael so I was glad when Bert sent out an email. I didn't know Michael all that well but I appreciated his existence and am sad I won't be seeing him again. I am grateful to have seen him and talked with him at Loscon this year.

I heard about his death yesterday too and I'm still shocked.

Kelly I kind of expected, but him???!? No way! I mean, he didn't have any glaring health problems, didn't abuse himself, he was young...sheesh.
