Anyone interested in joining me for
a) the SD County Fair, Sat. 7/2? The concery that night is a Women's Music Fest with Joan Osborne, Jonatha Brooke, and a couple of acts I'm not familiar with.
b) Knott's Berry Farm, Mon. 7/4? I've never been, and someone at work was saying it was pretty empty on the 4th last year. it's an easy drive, and tickets aren't too bad. (Buying at Ralph's is the best price I've seen so far.) However, I'd much rather have someone to hang with than go alone, so if no one else is interested, I may not go.

I'm definitely up for the fair. I'm off early on Friday, so I was considering going then, but Saturday would be fine also (I usually don't do the concerts at the fair, but have no objection to going to the concert).

I'll have to think about Knotts. I do enjoy it, it's just a matter of pricing. What are the tickets at Ralphs? I can also ask my dad how much they are on base (which may be a bit cheaper).

Monday is unfortunately BBQ day with the 'rents, so I'm not going to be able to make it.

No idea about Saturday, I'm sort of playing the week by ear based on how I'm feeling.

There's also a $34.95 admission + BBQ deal, but it's weekends only and requires a reservation -- don't know if a holiday Monday counts as a weekend.

As for the fair (since I got distracted mid-comment), I don't always do the concerts, but I like Joan Osborne, and I've been hearing good things about Jonatha Brooke for a long time. It's free with fair admission, and I've got my fair ticket from entering exhibits.

Regretably, I'm busy on July 4th, and have made tentative plans for Sat July 2nd to travel to mexico. I wish I could go, cause it sounds fun, but I'll keep you posted ^_^

What are you exhibiting in the fair this year? Sounds like you will have a fun weekend. I went to Knott's Berry Farm many years ago, but don't remember much about it.
