So, Baycon. Yay Baycon. Good weekend, pretty much entirely angst free.

The bad bits:
After visiting an urgent care last night, x-ray says: cracked rib from the fall last week. I have a rib wrap to wear when it helps, and even without that, my desk chair is very good and supportive -- which is part of why it felt so much better Thursday, and I didn't modify my weekend plans.

Also, while I was parked at the hotel, someone appears to have backed into my tailgate, and did not leave a note. The damage is relatively minor, tailgate and back bumper scratched and slightly displaced.

However, I have insurance to deal with all of the above, and none of it's serious.

The con was fabulous. I went to more panels and events than I have in several years. I almost skipped the leather maskmaking workshop, due partly to an inadequate write-up in the program book, but I'm glad I decided to check it out. It was a lot of fun and surprisingly easy. Now, to decorate the result...

I went the the knitting Klatsch, the Christian Fandom and LJ BoFs, and the Craig Miller Tells All... panel, where I learned how much of my childhood he influenced. (He wrote for or otherwise worked on quite a lot of the cartoons and movies I grew up with.)

Played in the Fluxx tournament Sunday; made the finals, but didn't win.

Parties were mostly quiet, compared to Baycon's usual, but still a lot of fun.

Lots of great conversation with friends and acquaintances old and new -- while there's never enough time to see everyone I'd like to for as long as I'd like, I enjoyed all the time I did spend with folks, and despite the medical and automotive issues, I'm in a much better mood than I was before the con. It was a much needed recharging, and I look forward to seeing many of you again at Westercon.
