All of my road trips between 1996-2000 fall into #1, only it was going off to meet Mud buddies, including massive trips to Cedar Point with like 30 mud geeks attending.

I don't recall actually roadtripping to meet and BBS people, but some who were roadtripping visited me. I have roadtripped to meet LJ people.
