nollyOh, and yesterday's/today's lesson learned:
If your dryer is less than fully functional, don't start it at 2 am when you are less than fully functional.
I put the sheets in with the last load of laundry yesterday. And promptly forgot about it until around 2 AM, when I went to go to bed, only to realize the bed had no clothes. At which point I realized I'd never put that last load in the dryer. So I did that, then remade the bed with the other set of sheets.
When I went downstairs to make breakfast around 11:30 this morning, the dryer was still going.
Its moisture sensor broke a few months ago, but the timed dry cycle is still OK, so I've just been using that. Last night, I didn't. The amount of lint on the collector was something else. I'm just glad nothing burned or anything else disastrous. The load was mostly t-shirts, underwear, and the sheets, so I don't think anything will be unwearable as a result. The next electric bill may be fun, though.
