Final word regarding the retreat:
It did relocate due to smoke at the original site.
Staff at the original site wee supposed to redirect people to the new site.
The retreat organizers were probably still at the original site when I got there, but I was stopped before I got to where they were.
They called me at home while I was on the road, but did not leave a message.
Jon had left my cell phone number behind, and thus could not call my cell.
A tragedy of errors, it seems.

But I have had homemade food, and cherries, and real history talk, both church history and stories from someone old enough to remember Prohibition. So life is good.

Now reading: the Liavek collections -- started the 4th one this afternoon.

One more little step closer...

Boss guy from DSI emailed me the EEO form to fill out and fax back today, so that's another step closer. (No, they still haven't actually made an offer.)

I highly recommend The Importance of Being Earnest. It's been a while since I read the play, and a quick glance over my copy confirms that it is not a line-for-line translation but the movie certainly captured the spirit and humor of the story. And plays taken line-for-line to the big screen rarely work well, anyway.
