I highly recommend The Importance of Being Earnest. It's been a while since I read the play, and a quick glance over my copy confirms that it is not a line-for-line translation but the movie certainly captured the spirit and humor of the story. And plays taken line-for-line to the big screen rarely work well, anyway.

It has Colin Frith in period costume. Of course The Importance of Being Ernest is a must-see! :)
