1. My middle name is Elizabeth,
2. No form of "Elizabeth" has ever been my use-name.
3. When I was a kid, one of the girls in my Girl Scout troop thought I looked like the girl in "Alex, the Life of a Child" and proceeded to call me Alex all the time.
4. This drove me nuts.
5. I was a Girl Scout for 10 years.
6. I never got my 10 year pin.
7. I have had email for 10 years.
8. I have used "Menolly" online for almost 10 years (a few months short).
9. I was baptized, by my own choice, 20 years ago this December.
10. I have lived in 8 towns in 6 states.
11. I own what some would call a ridiculous number of stuffed toys.
12. I taught myself to crochet last summer.
13. I still haven't finished the project I started then.
14. I have finished several other crochet projects.
15. I have received many compliments on my crochet.
16. I have at least 5 unfinished cross stitch projects.
17. I will probably never finish one of those because my copy of the pattern is
deteriorating.
18. I have considered grad school, but I'm not willing to go back to student life.
19. If I did go back to school, I would probably study either databases or linguistics.
20.I studied Russian and Spanish (only a little) in college, and Latin in high school.
21. I'd like to learn more Russian and Spanish, but have not made the time to do so.
22. I attended a public, residential, magnet high school for 11th and 12th grade.
23. This was the best time of my life up to that point.
24. This was the most stressful time of my life up to that point.
25. I am in touch with more of my friends from NCSSM than from college.
26. My college is a unique LJ interest.
27. My high school is not.
28. I currently have samples of 3 different prescription antihistamines -- Claritin D, Allegra D, and Allegra.
29. I take a one-a-day type multivitamin twice a day.
30. I still have borderline low iron.
31. I listen to a fairly eclectic assortment of music.
32. I'm not familiar with a lot of well-known music.
33. I canceled my cable TV a couple of years ago.
34. My sex (biology) is female, but my gender (role in society, how I interact)
is geek.
35. I used to wish I could convincingly dress as a man, in order to see if and how I was treated differently, but this doesn't feel important to me anymore.
36. I am happy with the size and shape of my body, though I would like to be more physically fit.
37. I started doing yoga regularly at the beginning of this year.
38. I have seen a definite change in my physical abilities since then.
39. I also feel more balanced and calm internally.
40. While yoga can bring inner contentment, I find inner joy through my Christianity.
41. I believe that God created the world. I do not need to know how long ago or how long it took.
42. I have too many books to comfortably live in a one bedroom apartment.
43. I drive a '99 Ranger extended cab.
44. My house and truck are almost always messy.
45. I get bored quickly when I try to clean.
46. I have never taken illegal drugs.
47. I drink coffee regularly -- 1-5 cups a day, with a few exceptions.
48. I am not a morning person.
49. I sleep with a stuffed camel.
50. I have a beanie camel, a foam brick, and a beanie anteater on top of my monitor at work.
51. I call the anteater my debugger, and will wave it at code that's not behaving.
52. I'm sometimes surprised by who only knows me as Menolly.
53. My first SF convention was Loscon 99.
54. I'm head of registration for Conjecture.
55. I've saved the petals from every rose I've been given since college.
56. I didn't get any roses in high school.
57. I have three drawers worth of t-shirts, plus more in storage.
58. If I am ever in a position where I want to be a parent, I would like to adopt. Too many kids need homes now.
59. I hate cold weather.
60. I hate grey days.
61. I love the ocean.
62. I love rollerskating and rollerblading.
63. I should make more time to blade.
64. I should bike more, too.
65. I would probably bike more if I could keep my bike somewhere more accessible than my dining room.
66. At one point, I had more autographed technical books than novels.

68. I was very disappointed to miss the chance to meet Ray Bradbury at ComiCon this year.
69. I share at least one other community, online or off, with every person on my friends list -- there is no one I know only through LJ.
70. My ears were pierced in junior high, but they didn't heal well, so I have no holes now.

74. I also have a sister-in-law.
75. My sister-in-law and I share a birthday.
76. My paternal grandmother died when I was in junior high.
77. My paternal grandfather died when I was in college.
78. My last great-grandparent died right before I graduated from high school.
79. I was not able to attend any of the funerals.
80. My maternal grandparents are alive and well.
81. I have 10 cousins and a cousin-in-law on my mother's side.
82. I'm the second oldest.
83. I'm not sure how many cousins I have on Dad's side.
84. I do know I'm one of the youngest.
85. I have curtains for my bed.
86. I've only hung one pair so far.
87. I have been to 5 SF conventions so far this year.
88. I plan to attend 3 more.
89. I was staff at 2 of the 5 and volunteered at a 3rd.
90. I am a department head for one of the remaining three, and should be working another one.
91. I have at least one shirt from every job I've had since high school, except
my on-campus jobs in college.
92. I need to order new checks soon.
93. I can't decide on a design.
94. I feel more disconnected without my cell phone than without email.
95. I like the smell of Play-Doh.
96. I have seen BNL, TMBG, the Proclaimers, Buddy Guy, B.B. King, and the Tommy
Castro band twice.
97. I have seen Action Figure Party, Bob Dylan, Susan Tedeschi, and a few others once.
98. Of the live acts that performed on campus when I was in college, my favorites were TMBG and Sinbad.
99. My favorite color is blue.
100. I like sushi a lot, even though I never had it until I came to California.
