Here's what I picked up at lunch today. It's a mix of currently-relevant (Dubya is scary.) and stuff I wanted anyway. I'm still open to further suggestions.

A portion of proceeds from this go to The Center for Constitutional Rights, the Children's Defense Fund, and Oxfam America.

Not strictly topical, given how much more justified WWII was, but I was intrigued.

The Best of Tom Paxton: I Can't Help But Wonder Where I'm Bound

I first heard Tom Paxton in jr. high or high school on a tape called Having a 60s Hootenanny which included "The Marvelous Toy". Then at a "radio station dumping vinyl" sale I picked up The Compleat Tom Paxton, which includes the such gems as "Ballad of Spiro Agnew". This seem to have at least a couple of Vietnam-related songs, and I know I like Paxton in general, so it seemed a good bet.

The Future, Leonard Cohen

I've been meaning to pick this up sine I heard "Democracy" on the radio a few weeks back. I've picked up various other Cohen discs recently, but hadn't gotten this yet. It was on sale today. Score.

It was on sale, too. I like Cohen.
