Thoughts...
I have this cool dining table. It's gateleg and would seat 8-10 with both sides extended. with them down, it't big enough for 4-6, but the sides are in the way, so it's best for two. There are drawers at each end, perfect for storing silverware and placemats and such.
But I'm starting to think it's just too big for my apartment.
It mostly acts as a paper magnet. I don't eat at home that much, and while it stays usable for a while after I clear it off, eventually I get busy and it piles up again. If it weren't taking up so much space, I'd probably have room to put up my Christmas tree, and I could probably set up a crafting area, maybe get a sewing machine and a smaller table, plus something to store yarn, etc. It'd be easier to get to my router and DSL box, if I laid things out right. So trying to sell it is tempting.
On the other hand, getting it out of the house would involve much effort -- other furniture (shelves) has narrowed the path to the door, and would have to be moved. I wouldn't have my cool dining table, which I really do like. Someday, I hope to live in a larger place, where I'll have sufficient room for it. If I part with it now, I'd have to find one I like then.
