oh, and is he a fan? there are a bunch of minnesota/iowa cons (in rochester, he'll be as close to iowa as he is to the twin cities) that he might be interested in, if so.
Not really; he's read some SF, especially Card, but isn't actively fannish. He's a bit more conservative than I am, for the most part. I've only met his wife a couple of times; I don't know her well.
