Nov. 4th, 2003 10:20 pmIt's been nearly a week; I probably owe y'all an update, so I"ll ramble for a bit.
There is no good time to wake up feeling ill. 5 AM is definitely among the worst times, though, as there's not really enough time to get properly back to sleep before the alarm goes off. Bit of minor food poisoning, I think; I've felt a bit sluggish all day and not had much appetite, but everything has stayed put.
As a result, though, I've not gotten much done this evening, and I really needed to.
What I planned to do some or all of:
-- go to the gym
-- go to Target
-- put away clean laundry
-- wash towels and bedding
-- put away things I'd packed up in case of need to evac
What I actually did:
-- bought some groceries (but forgot one bit I needed for what was going to be dinner, so had PB&J; I'll get that tomorrow.)
-- took out the kitchen trash
-- knitted
-- watched the director's commentary on Girlfight
I suspect part of the problem is actually PMS; I tend to feel tired and draggy then anyway, and the timing is about right. Not that y'all really need to know that, but hey, it's my LJ. *grin*
I had a good weekend, including a local Ren faire Sunday afternoon, where I acquired a hat and a drum. Saturday, I gave blood, in addition to my usual Saturday stuff. I was going to wait til Loscon, but they need it more here and now.
Hopefully, I'll feel better in the morning; Wednesdays always need a lot of energy. (For those who don't know, I'm one of the teachers for the 3-year-old through 2nd grade class at my church on Wednesdays. We do songs and the story, and then they rotate through snack, craft, and game centers. I do the snack, as well as helping with the songs some, calling the time to rotate, setting up the room, and whatever else needs doing.)
