what I liked best about Murder in the Solid State is the number of non-slimy lawyers. While there are slimy people who take legal action and thus probably have slimy lawyers, the two lawyers who are actual characters are both pretty cool. It's nice to see an author going against that particular stereotype in a quiet way.
