johno, chriso, figmo, mdlbear (and lots of way-cool people who aren't on here, too) at the con. (and probably more I've forgotten or don't realize are on here) A and I went out to dinner with linenoise on Saturday, and then to the beach for a bit, which was a nice break from convention madness.
After the con, I drove up to Pasadena to return The Curse of Chalion to my friend there, and met her boyfriend. Who knew one of the people I was hanging out with at the con. Ah, it is a small world, isn't it?
Now I have to catch up on house cleaning, pay bills, enter all the new Conjecture memberships, remember to prep for my Wednesday night class, finish catching up online, and probably a few more things. Along with that first item, I need to buy more poison free ant spray -- there's a persistent ant problem in the upstairs bathroom. I'm beginning to suspect the colony, or at least the place they're getting in, is in the wall between my place and my neighbors', as I only ever see then near that shared wall.
Need to decide if I'm going to the memorial service at church tonight. It's for an older woman who'd been fighting cancer for a long time; it wasn't unexpected. I didn't know her well, but she's the one who had the extra Allegra when I was between insurance plans earlier this year.
Tomorrow night is the first Darkstar Women's Craft Night; got to decide what project I'm taking. (The mile-a-minute afghan I've almost finished? The Pooh bear I think I want to make next? Knitting needles and yarn because there will be people there who can help me?)
Wednesday is, as usual, church, and I need to look at my materials and find out what the snack is for this week so I can acquire whatever ingredients I'm missing.
Thursday is Darkstar dinner.
Friday is so far unaccounted for. Probably try to see MIIB.
Saturday morning I'll go to yoga class; I don't think this is a gaming weekend, so I'm not sure about the rest of the day. Maybe housework.
I think I need to price small storage sheds and put one in the backyardlet, since I doubt I'll get a garage any time soon, and I need to get some of this stuff out of the house.
Work is going well; I'm currently trying to figure out how to best determine whether Apache::DBI is doing its thing (persistent connections) and if not, where I goofed up.
