Dec. 17th, 2002 06:06 pmPoll context: Butter cookies have been appearing in the breakroom lately. No one seems terribly enthusiastic about this fact. I prersonally find them bland and dry, and just not appealing. Whereas I grew up on Claxton fruitcake, which I don't see here on the West coast. And my grandparents pretty much always have a fruitcake around at Christmas, which seems to get eaten. So I'm curious whether butter cookies should have a rep like unto fruitcake, and whether fruitcake's rep is justified.

Note to self: get that recipe!
