Dec. 24th, 2002 01:12 amI think everything is packed. We'll see what I think of between now and when I sleep, and what I discover I've left behind after I get to Birmingham.
Travel docs are printed.
Shuttle van is supposed to arrive at 6:40AM or thereabouts.
I should have email and web access, so if any of y'all happen to be in the vicinity of B'ham, AL and want to get together between the 26th and the 30th, drop me a line. (the 25th is definitely for family, and I'm leaving the 31st. No guarantees on other days; I'm unlikely to be desperate for escape, but I'm open to suggestions.)
I've likely packed too many games, but my family likes games, and I had space in my carry-on.
I have books, knitting, and crochet.
Battery charger and phone charger are packed.
Toothbrush and other toiletries are packed.
Closed-toe shoes and socks are packed.
Dress shoes, tights, and dress are packed.
Leather jacket is packed, with gloves and earband in the pockets.
Sufficient quantities of everyday clothes and sleepwear packed.
The usual medications -- allegra, flonase, vitamins, in sufficient quantities.
camel is packed; I'll sleep with sulley tonight.
no food, because I didn't get to trader joe's today. there's always plenty anyway.
maybe I'll look up a snickerdoodle recipe online and make some once I get there -- everyone loved them last year, when I used a mix-in-a-jar I'd been given.
packed the cable for the camera; I should turn on my FTP server before I leave...ok, that's on...oops, fix the firewalls..ok, now I can post pics remotely.
and that, I think, is that.
time to catch a few hours sleep, or at least try to.

Date: 2002-12-24 05:04 am (UTC)And go figure, that I finally tonight build the momentum to finish that letter I've owed you for a month and a half, and now you're going to leave and maybe not read it for another day or two and probably not want to deal with answering it until after the holidays ;) Well, it's not like I'm in any hurry.
